FSC Certification
FSC certifications are granted by the Forest Stewardship
Council an independent organization in charge of promoting the responsible management of the world forests.
By buying FSC certified products
you are assuring that it complies with the highest social and
environmental standards on the market. Making them ideal for green
building projects such as LEED.
Only FSC Prohibits
- Conversion of natural forests or other habitat around the world
- Use
of highly hazardous pesticides around the world
- Cultivation of
genetically modified trees (GMOs)
- Respects the right of
indigenous peoples around the world
- Controls each certified
operation at least once a year – and if they are found not to comply,
the certificate is withdrawn
