FOREST CERTIFICATION AND LEED´S
Environmental, Social and Economic Standards

Forest certification is the independent assessment of an organization’s activities against agreed external standards. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) has developed an international standard for forest management certification, consisting of ten "Principles and criteria for Forest Management". These concern the environmental, social and economic impacts of forest management. PanAmerican Woods is proud to be certified since 2000 as receiving and maintaining the FSC certification label is a stringent process not to be undertaken lightly! However, it's a fact that certified companies are profitable companies. Small wonder then that PanAmerican Woods takes pride in the FSC logo which appears on its products or packaging or labeling, fulfilling its vision statement of sustainability and profitability.

Panamerican Woods is also FSC Chain-of-Custody certified.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody Certification provides a system for tracking wood from Certified forest areas, through the distribution net, to the point of sale. Chain-of-Custody is available to manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who purchase, use, or sell certified wood. It provides assurance to the public that the wood product bearing the FSC label was produced from a certified "Well-managed" Forest
